    Galf na Sóisear/Junior Golf

    The Junior Captains – Michelle and Liam have made huge strides -playing in Men’s and Ladies’ Competitions regularly and their handicaps have come tumbling down. Michelle has been training with Munster Girls and Liam has been playing on the Kerry Club Circuit.
    As reported below, Michelle won the inaugural President’s Prize to the Juveniles in Monkstown – 30 boys and 2 girls competed, and Michelle won – her name is first on the Cup.

    Congratulations also for her huge drop in handicap this year from 21 to 11 (10.5) Three shots in the last two weeks! We are all very proud of her and have great hopes for her future in Golf.

    Sharkey makes Dad pay as her handicap continues to drop.

    Michelle SharkeyMichelle Sharkey has continued an amazing run of success when she won Juvenile presidents prize with 45pt last week. In the same week she won a Christmas hamper at Monkstown with a score of 68 net & won the Munster schools at East Cork with 39pt.
    Her Mum says “she is down to 10.5. Her Dad is 10.3 and when she gets below him there is a pay out! I reckon by the time of the AGM she will be lower than him”


    The Men’s Golfer of the Year award went to leading junior golf, Liam Ó hÓgáin.
